How do you zoom the camera this way? When I zoom the camera in the game, the sims are just far away, you know?

anyhow, you press the tab button in the game. you know this button? near the letter Q. Then you move the camera with these:
letter E- down
letter Q- up
A, W, D- rotation
Z- zoom in
X- zoom out
I'm not sure though about the order... but these are the buttons you should press for the camera
