Okay, last night I, or rather my sims tried out some of my sexy sims 2 objects, such as the white rabbit vibrator and the sex shower masturbation option. However upon using them, my sims body turned invisible and he became just a floating head and penis, a very surreal mind fuck of a sight it was.

This is actually the second time I've had mods like this, as my hard drive gave up and took my game and all my CC with it (funny story, it involved Gul Dukut from Star Trek Deep Space Nine). However the first time around I didn't have any problems like this. So what am I doing differently this time?

You need the correct meshes to go with the skintone you have on your sim.

Yes, as Julie said you need the correct meshes.

In this case since it involved the shower, chances are your Sim is missing the required nude meshes for his or her bodyshape. This is also known as the "floating head" problem.

My sims all use the default maxis bodyshape. Can you give me instructions on what I need to do/download to fix it pretty please?

Since your Sims are supposed to be using the default Maxis bodyshape, this probably means that you have accidentally downloaded a default replacement skintone for a different bodyshape and didn't download the meshes for it.

There are several ways to identify the file.
1. Download and run the Clean Installer and have it scan your Downloads folder. It should identify any default replacement skintones. http://modthesims.info/d/409950

3. Use the 50/50 method of removing downloads and retrying the game to identify the file.

I have all my downloads organised into folders already (thanks delphi) my default replacements are Sneebs skintones. However my sims was using non default one. So if I find the skintone, how will I be able to work out what body mesh my guy needs so he can get his freak on?

Ahah! They're actually a custom androgyny body shape lol. Someone over on Mod The Sims made the default versions of them, so I can have both.
